TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND
TIMEKEEPING
The
London Ambulance Service is particularly proud of its recent successes
with regard to performance times. Integral
to the success of Project Fix is punctuality, and synchronization.
It
is just no good us printing out a job with times of XX:48 and XX
:48 if vehicle crew staff’s watches read XX:46.
All
staff have been issued a copy of the whistleblowing policy, and other
training memoranda refer. And we have a lot of lovely new team leaders.
So
that there can be no suggestion that crews make up their times, and to
remove any discrepancies between CAC and VCS clocks, WITH IMMEDIATE
EFFECT, Team Leaders will
blow their whistles with four short bursts, followed by a one-second
blast, on the hour every hour.
On
hearing the “pips” crews are to simultaneously press their priority
button seven times at 07:00, fourteen times at 14:00 and nineteen times at
19:00 etc.
