IMPACT II AMBULANCE
The
London ambulance fleet appears in two slightly different versions, ‘with’
and ‘without’ effective brakes.
Would
all staff therefore please be aware that on occasions the Impact II
ambulance (see left) without effective brakes may hinder the recovery
of patients. (Because there is no means of stopping, it does not fit
securely into the ambulance bay.)
Therefore,
please ensure, if practicable, that the brand new expensive vehicles are
not used on any ambulances missions, and are replaced with some old shell
sent back from Cuba that does have brakes and front axles.
