NEW Railtrack Medics

Or teletubbies in disguise.

A successful outcome is hoped for an ambitious collaboration in London
Hoping to meet and exceed government targets for improval in cardiac arrest outcomes and the outrolling of the Defibs In Public Places Scheme Year 1 (DIPPSI) all major London rail termini have 1) Railtrack staff 2) access to defibs to complement the LAS turnout.

The medical liaison officer heading up the scheme, Dr Fiona Beeching says that there are clear areas for cooperation. "We often let LAS remove mangled bodies from our tracksides, and now you are letting our people have a play with your punters"

Stage two of this ambitious collaboration saw the first LALA (London Ambulance Layperson Activation) when Railtrack permanent way staff coordinated the successful management of a recent explosion / collapse outside King's Crutch railway station. The Team Leader from railtrack is clearly shown in his trackside orange suit. The Press Office (PO) at waterloo have a full transcript of his statement which can be summaraised as "its amazing, this morning I was banging sleepers on the railway, and now I am a Doctor. Incredible what 3 hours training can do"
